Harvey really wanted to visit the Great Lakes. He had read about these lakes, that were more like oceans, when he was studying world geography. His good friend and mentor, Sidney the sloth, told him that he always wanted to see the lakes but he just couldn't quite make the time.
Here is a picture of one of the most famous bridges in the United States. This bridge is the gateway to Lake Superior from Duluth Minnesota.
Lake Superior is the largest of the Great Lakes of North America, the world's largest freshwater lake by surface area, and the third largest freshwater lake by volume.

Harvey learned about Butterflies from his mentor Sidney (he's nothing but a blooming sloth). He was alway talking about watching them flying about under-head.
The Monarch, pictured here is an amazing example.
During the fall migration, monarchs cover thousands of miles, with a corresponding multi-generational return north. The western North American population of monarchs west of the Rocky Mountains often migrates to sites in southern California but has been found in overwintering Mexican sites as well. Monarchs have been bred on the International Space Station.

Harvey had seen western movies and wanted to hop aboard a coal-fired, steam-powered locomotive that travels along the same railroad tracks that miners, cowboys and the early settlers of the Old West used over a hundred years ago.
This historic train has been in continuous operation between Durango and Silverton since 1882, carrying passengers behind vintage steam locomotives and rolling stock indigenous to the line.

Harvey wanted to see some of the hardships the early Gold Miners went through, so he hitched a ride on Yukon and White Pass Railroad.
Built in 1898 during the Klondike Gold Rush, this narrow gauge railroad is an International Historic Civil Engineering Landmark.

Harvey wanted to see some Glaciers left in the continental United States. So he traveled to Glacier National Park in Montana. He was awed by the views on "Going To The Sun Road". Did he see Glaciers?..YES

Burntside Lake is a 7,000-acre lake in northern Minnesota. Harvey heard that this lake was great for fishing.
Even though he had never fished, he thought he might want to give it a try.
Harvey rented this cabin, tried fishing but he wasn't very good at it and didn't catch anything.
